Christmas Card

I was working on our Christmas card last night and came up with an idea. As usual, I woke up this morning with a better one in my mind so now I have no use for last night’s finished product. Rather than let the file sit untouched or delete it, I decided to give it away.

ChristmasCard

Download it, edit it, use it as inspiration for something else. Whatever. I don’t care.

Update

The blog took a little hiatus for Arya to get settled in. (So did the laundry. And the broom. And the mop.)

Here’s a quick update of what has gone down the last 7 weeks:

  • A great visit from my mother-in-law for the first week of Arya’s life.
  • An adorable 11-day-old photo shoot with Ashley Burk.
  • Me consulting Dr. Google for a multitude of questions, as if I’d never had a baby before.
  • Xander calling his sister an “it” because he’s unsure of her gender.
  • Being stalked by our Alma Mater.
  • Keeping burp cloths on my shoulder at all times because my daughter is a puker.
  • A great visit from my mom.
  • COLIC
  • Figuring out that the nighttime fussiness and gassiness could be avoided if I stayed away from all milk products.
  • Learning the hard way that all really means ALL.
  • Figuring out how to leave the house on time with one parent and two children.
  • Patiently, worriedly waiting for Arya’s umbilical stump to fall off. 31 days!
  • Our annual family photo shoot with Tim Harman, in Memphis this year.
  • Xander starting gymnastics.
  • Arya gaining almost 2 pounds in 6 weeks! She was 8lbs, 4oz at her checkup.
  • Enjoying Xander’s first Halloween Reformation where he knew what was going on.
  • Being amazed at the gas Arya can let out. Sounds like a grown man.
  • Getting my wedding rings back on after getting too swollen in July.
  • A great visit from my sister and my dad.

And through all this: gearing up for the Christmas concert, trying to keep the house somewhat in order, learning to play the piccolo, and various design projects.

Life is good.
